Partner Spotlight: Travis Credit Union
Starting where you are and taking that first step can make a meaningful difference over time. Discover how Travis Credit Union is helping Veterans through their focus on financial education and long-term savings.
As part of our ongoing work to support service members and Veterans, we’re always looking to highlight organizations that are helping build stronger financial futures within the military community.
Travis Credit Union has been doing just that through its focus on financial education and long-term savings.
As CMSgt (RET) John G. Evalle, Military Affairs Officer at Travis Credit Union, shared, one of the biggest financial decisions service members face is where they’ll live after leaving the military and whether they’re financially prepared for that transition. He also emphasized the importance of starting early when it comes to long-term savings, especially through tools like the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP), which allows service members to build and grow savings over time.
Their “Million Airmen” financial literacy program is designed to support service members at different stages of their careers. This includes managing their first paycheck, navigating family finances, and preparing for the transition to civilian life.
At Veteran Saves, we share that same belief. Starting where you are and taking that first step can make a meaningful difference over time.
