Veteran Saves Recognizes Eight Financial Institutions with 2025 Designation of Savings Excellence and Community Impact Awards

VETERAN SAVES RECOGNIZES EIGHT FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS WITH 2025 DESIGNATION OF SAVINGS EXCELLENCE AND COMMUNITY IMPACT AWARDS 

The Designation of Savings Excellence Award recognizes financial institutions that effectively and actively promoted saving strategies during Veteran Saves Week 2025. The Community Impact Award recognizes an organization that used the Veteran Saves Pledge to encourage setting up a savings goal and making a plan to reach that goal. 

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) February 3, 2026 — Veteran Saves, a program of America Saves, has named eight recipients of the 2025 Veteran Saves Week Designation of Savings Excellence and Community Impact Awards. 

These awards honor financial institutions and organizations that demonstrated a strong commitment to promoting saving and financial stability among Veterans, transitioning service members, and their families during Veteran Saves Week 2025. 

The Designation of Savings Excellence Award is presented to banks and credit unions that went above and beyond to encourage saving by actively engaging their communities in opening or adding to savings accounts during the campaign.

The Community Impact Award recognizes an organization that effectively used the Veteran Saves Pledge to encourage Veterans and the military-connected community to set a savings goal and take actionable steps toward achieving it. 

The 2025 Community Impact Award recipient is Armed Forces Bank. During Veteran Saves Week 2025, Armed Forces Bank demonstrated a strong commitment to encouraging saving by actively engaging military and Veteran audiences and reinforcing the importance of setting clear, achievable financial goals throughout the campaign. 

“At its core, Veteran Saves Week encourages a financial check-in so Veterans and transitioning service members can better understand their day-to-day finances,” said Krystel Spell, Program Manager of Veteran Saves. “This year, we were especially mindful of the moment we were in. Many households are making tough decisions, adjusting priorities, and responding to unexpected financial changes. The organizations recognized this year helped make saving feel realistic for Veterans and service members, even during uncertain times.”

These award recipients were among hundreds of organizations that participated in Veteran Saves Week 2025, which took place November 4–7, 2025. The annual campaign encourages Veterans, transitioning service members and the military connected community to pause for a financial check-in, set a savings goal, and take steps toward building financial stability. 

More than 900 individuals from participating organizations contributed to the overall impact of Veteran Saves Week 2025, which reached more than 1.5 million individuals and encouraged nearly $2 million in deposits into new and existing savings and wealth-building accounts. 

Veteran Saves also recognizes organizations that received the 2025 Savings Champion Award for exceptional outreach and engagement during the week. A full list of Savings Champion Award recipients can be found here.
